The Six Nations – Wales last won in 2008. Since then Ireland, France and England have all had their turn. And now it’s Fishguard’s turn – and we don’t just mean the Seagulls’ 24-6 pre-season win over Usk last month.
In just two days time, September 12th 2011, we will be reconnected to Pembrokeshire, Wales and Europe. From Monday, you can breakfast in Fishguard, and be seated for 6pm dinner in no less than six European nations. Likewise breakfasters in six European countries can enjoy a Fishguard supper the same day – and all by public transport.
To celebrate, Fishguard Trains today launches a timetable like no other. A timetable that will take you on a day trip across Pembrokeshire, shopping in Swansea, the big match in Cardiff, or a romantic journey across our continent.
Because the arrival of five extra trains each way to Fishguard will link us firmly into the expanding, high-speed, low-carbon rail network that is the future of European travel.
Fishguard and Six Nations timetable is now published, available online and at outlets across Fishguard and Goodwick. Read all about it here.
Our thanks to Andrew Butler and Clwb Rygbi Abergwaun ac Wdig for the picture of Seagulls in flight
